  • Description: Discounted Landline ServiceProvides discounted telephone service to qualifying low-income households. Only one home phone line in a household can have the California LifeLine discount unless one of the household members is hearing impaired and uses TTY equipment.Free Wireless PlanOffers customers free minutes and free texts each month. Customer selects which cell phone provider to use (service is available through Assurance Wireless, Budget Mobile, Access Wireless, ReachOut Wireless, Tag Mobile). There are no annual contracts or activation fees. Clients will receive a voice mail account, call waiting, caller ID, 911 Access, Nationwide Network coverage and clients can keep their current home or cell phone number. Callers can also inquire about limited time offer of free cell phones. Monthly service fee applied to plans with data.NOTE: Only one discount per household for each residential address is allowed. Each household must choose to get the discount either on a home phone or on a cell phone, but not on both. Households cannot get the discount from multiple phone companies. Households that do not follow the one discount per household rule will lose their discounts.
